Your DoorDash credit is three separate promotions and they do not combine

The Sapphire Reserve gives $25 a month through DoorDash, but as three promotions that have to be used on three different orders. Try to spend it in one go and most of it disappears.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve gives you up to $25 a month through DoorDash. The reason most people only capture $5 of it is not forgetfulness. It is that the $25 is three separate promotions, and one order can only use one of them.

The three are a $5 promotion for restaurant orders and two $10 promotions that work only on orders that are not restaurants: groceries, convenience shops, pharmacies and retail (Upgraded Points). Three promotions means three separate orders in the month. One big grocery order captures $10, not $20.

  1. In the Chase app, open the Sapphire Reserve, tap Benefits and switch on the DoorDash credit.
  2. In the DoorDash app, open Account then Payment and add the Sapphire Reserve.
  3. Place one non-restaurant order, and at the payment screen tap Promotions and apply a $10 promotion.
  4. Later in the month, place a second non-restaurant order and apply the other $10.
  5. Use the $5 restaurant promotion on any takeaway order.

The catch. The promotions are applied at checkout rather than refunded to your statement, so if you forget to tap Promotions you lose that one. Nothing rolls over to next month. And since April 2026 a pickup order needs to be at least $20 before a $10 promotion applies, so delivery is the simpler route.
